Do we need special software to get ISO 9001 certified?
No. ISO 9001 doesn't specify what software you must use. It specifies what your documentation system must do. It must control versions, restrict access appropriately, ensure only current versions are in use, and maintain records. SharePoint with Power Automate does all of this natively. Who performs the actual ISO 9001 certification audit?
Certification is awarded by an accredited registrar, an independent third-party certification body (such as BSI, Bureau Veritas, SGS, or similar). Abel is a consulting firm, not a certification body. Our role is to prepare your organization for the audit: gap assessment, documentation, internal audits, and mock audit review. The registrar conducts the independent Stage 1 and Stage 2 assessments and issues the certificate.
What's the difference between ISO 9001 consulting and ISO 9001 certification?
Consulting is the preparation work: the gap assessment, documentation build, process mapping, and audit readiness support that gets your organization to a certifiable state. Certification is the formal stamp issued by an accredited registrar after a successful independent audit. You hire a consultant to get ready; you hire a registrar to get certified. The two roles are kept separate to preserve audit independence.
