Kevin Abel is President of Abel Solutions, a company that he founded in 1995 with his wife Cindy. Prior to forming Abel Solutions, Abel was a Project Manager with BellSouth Entertainment in Atlanta and a Senior Consultant with the Advanced Systems Group at Andersen Consulting in Dallas, Texas.
A native of South Africa, Abel came to the United States with his family in 1979. He then attended the University of Texas at Austin, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering in 1987.
Abel serves on the Board of the Technology Association of Georgia (where he has been a member since 2006), the Board of Directors of Refugee Resettlement & Immigration Services of Atlanta, and the Board of Directors for The Davis Academy.
Abel is a 2006 graduate of Leadership Atlanta. He is a former finalist for the Atlanta Small Business Person of the Year Award and was previously named to the Georgia Trend 40 under 40 list. He is a past Chairman of the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce Small Business Council and a former member of the Board of the Arthritis Foundation (Georgia Chapter) and the Board of Councilors for The Carter Center.
David J. Hammond
David Hammond joined Abel Solutions in April 2005 and currently serves as Vice President of Solutions Delivery where he is responsible for management and delivery of all Abel Solutions information worker and application development projects.
Prior to joining Abel Solutions, Hammond was VP of Operations for LaVista Consulting, an information technology solutions firm focused on the energy industry, and LaVista Resources, a recruiting and staffing organization. He has also served as director of an industry solutions consulting practice with Computer Associates’ Global Professional Services and held a number of senior management positions with start-up technology and successful established consulting companies, including Andersen Consulting (now Accenture).
Hammond is a graduate of Emory University’s Goizueta Business School and a 2004 graduate of Leadership North Fulton. He served as Class Chair for Leadership North Fulton in 2007 and served on the Board of Directors for the program from 2005-2010. Hammond is also a founding member of The Drake House and has served on its board since 2004. He also previously served on the Board of Directors of the Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce and the Forsyth County Judicial Citizens Review Panel.
As the Director of Solutions Delivery, Shannon Webster is responsible for new business development, account management and oversight to ensure consistent delivery of the Project Management processes.
Prior to joining Abel Solutions, Webster was a Project Manager for Visual Technologies, Inc. in Hartford, CT. She possesses more than 10 years of consulting experiencing including stints working for small boutique consultancies, a government contractor and Ernst & Young.
Webster counts among her many career accomplishments the creation of a transaction system to record the financial sales of cattle being sold on the internet, a project that taught her entirely more about steers and heifers than she would like to know.
Webster is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), and a 2012 graduate of the Pathbuilders Achieva Program. She was recruited to attend the University of Maryland on a volleyball scholarship where she earned a Master of Business Administration, a Master of Science in Electronic Commerce & Information Systems, a Bachelor of Science in Decision Information Systems, and a Bachelor of Science in Management Science & Statistics.
Webster also serves on the Board of the Atlanta Electronic Commerce Forum (where she has been a member since 2007).
Benjamin (Ben) Nadler
Ben Nadler is Manager of SharePoint Consulting for Abel Solutions, a position in which he oversees and participates in a broad array of activities—from defining, implementing and communicating process improvement initiatives and service delivery best practices to working on long-term strategic planning initiatives. Nadler joined Abel Solutions in 2001, and his expertise and dedication to thought leadership helped him work his way from Web Developer to his present position.
Prior to joining Abel Solutions in 2001, Nadler worked as a Web Development Consultant for Daugherty Systems in St. Louis, MO. He holds Master of Science in Management Information Systems and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Nadler is a graduate of Leadership North Fulton and was a contributing author to SharePoint 2010 Unleashed.
Nadler serves on the board of directors of his synagogue and will soon be the commissioner of a 24-team softball league, having co-captained the league championship for the past two years.
