Business Intelligence Consultant

Job Responsibilities

The Senior Business Intelligence Consultant will assume a lead role as a consultant and an analyst on client engagements. This lead, professional will also work independently and on project teams focused on delivering business solutions for our customers.

Specifically, this Business Intelligence Consultant will be knowledgeable about and responsible for developing end-to-end business intelligence solutions for mid-sized and large customers, including:

Translating business requirements into business solutions
Creating OLAP cubes from customer data repositories
Identifying performance improvements in existing data repositories
Identifying and refining measurable performance goals for customers
Leveraging transactional and analysis databases to create performance monitoring dashboards
Create dashboard POCs
Leading workshops on Excel Services, PerformancePoint, and other BI delivery tools for customers

Requirements

Experience with Business Intelligence platforms or producing performance tracking dashboards for a company
SQL Server, SharePoint 2007/2010 and Reporting Services 2008 experience
Knowledge of and familiarity with Analytical cube concepts
Experience in OLAP database technologies, cubes and data warehousing
Strong experience with Excel pivot tables
Experience with dashboard design and layout
Strong consulting and analysis skills (ability to understand business needs and to help translate those into technical solutions)
Ability to work independently (self-starter) as well as play various implementation roles within project teams
Exceptional communication, documentation and organizational skills
Education: 4 year Degree
