Abel Solutions Employs Nintex Workflow 2007 at North Highland

Abel Solutions, a leading Microsoft SharePoint solution provider, announced today that they have been engaged by The North Highland Company, a management and technology consulting firm, to help deploy a contractor on-boarding system. The system will be the first developed for North Highland by Abel Solutions utilizing the state of the art SharePoint workflow product from Nintex.

“We’ve long been able to create custom workflows with SharePoint Designer or Visual Studio but when North Highland asked us to help them standardize on a workflow platform, we introduced them to Nintex,” explained David Hammond, vice president of solutions delivery for Abel Solutions.

North Highland had previously used a complex, manual system for on-boarding and off-boarding affiliates (or contractors) that relied largely on emailing Word documents. As their volume of new hires was expected to increase, they went in search of a more robust mechanism that would help streamline the hiring process nationwide and reduce the time required for on-boarding an affiliate.

At the same time they began looking for an on-boarding solution they also realized the importance of establishing a standard workflow engine for their enterprise that integrates with their existing SharePoint 2007 platform.

“After a proof of concept and evaluation period, they were quickly sold on Nintex’s ability to help them create workflows with considerably less effort than custom application development using Visual Studio for SharePoint,” continued Hammond.
