Abel Solutions President Kevin Abel Appointed to Technology Association of Georgia (TAG) Board of Directors

Abel Solutions, a leading Microsoft SharePoint solution provider, announced today that President Kevin Abel has accepted an invitation to join the Technology Association of Georgia’s Board of Directors. As a board member, Abel joins 50+ other technology executives from across Georgia in their mission to help the industry speak in one strong voice.

TAG serves as a liaison with Chambers of Commerce statewide to attract new businesses and employees. While TAG isn't a lobbying organization, the Association helps prioritize the issues facing Georgia's technology companies by working closely with other organizations. Board members are called upon to participate in strategic development and governance of the association as well as expanding the size, achievements and influence of Georgia's technology sector.

 

Kevin Abel is President of Abel Solutions, a company of 18 that he founded in 1997 with his wife Cindy. A Microsoft Gold Certified Partner for Information Worker and Custom Development Solutions, Abel Solutions is widely recognized for their SharePoint-based solutions, custom application development and innovative delivery methodology. Prior to forming Abel Solutions, Abel was with BellSouth Entertainment and Andersen Consulting in Dallas, Texas.

 

Abel serves on the Board of Visitors for Grady Health System as well as the Board of Councilors for The Carter Center.

 

A member of the Leadership Atlanta Class of 2006, he is a former finalist for the Atlanta Small Business Person of the Year Award and was previously named to the Georgia Trend 40 under 40 list. He is a past Chairman of the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce Small Business Council and a previous member of the Board of the Arthritis Foundation – Georgia Chapter.
