SharePoint Project Manager/Business Analyst
The Project Manager/Business Analyst is the point person for Abel Solutions on a given client engagement. In addition to taking responsibility for all aspects of the project, this person also acts as the lead for business needs analysis and documentation of functional specifications.
While most of our clients are in the Atlanta area, there is always potential for out of town clients. Up to 25% travel might be required for this position.
Job Responsibilities
- Support sales efforts.
- Work directly with client (or prospect) to analyze business needs and translate into the system’s functional requirements
- Generate detailed project cost estimates and plans.
- Manage all aspects of systems development project from analysis through implementation and support.
- Develop test plans and execute system testing as needed.
- Maintain strong rapport with client and manage risks and expectations throughout project life cycle.
- Assume overall responsibility for project success including client satisfaction, project profitability, and employee morale.
- Participate in the development of internal business processes to support company as it grows.
- Employee development including reviews, mentoring, and unstructured feedback.
- Grow business at existing clients.
Education Requirements
4 year BS Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business, or related field
Experience Requirements
5-10 years
Skill Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems consulting services, at least three or more of which were primarily focused on project management and business needs analysis.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint and related technologies (e.g., InfoPath, workflow tools, Performance Point, etc.)
- 2 years of experience as a Project Manager or Business Analyst involving internet-enabled business systems.
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills
- Exceptional client management and teamwork skills; comfortable with challenging other’s ideas and working with disparate groups to bring about consensus.
- Great capacity to multi-task, superior organizational skills, and relentless attention to detail.
- Strong track record in managing concurrent multiple projects, tasks, and priorities in a fast-paced, changing, demanding environment with quality results.
- Solid experience with systems development life cycle methodologies and frameworks (e.g. Agile/Scrum, ‘Waterfall’).
- Exemplary analytical and critical thinking skills to assist with problem solving and business rule definition, and to identify and negotiate solutions to address project challenges.
- Handles ambiguity without losing focus and can perform with minimal direction.
- Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office products: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project.
